Today, a unique natural phenomenon was observed in the sky over the Minsk region – a lunar halo.
A lunar halo is a hazy, bright ring with the moon at its center. Tonight, residents of Minsk and the Minsk region observed it, BelTA reports.
Halo (from ancient Greek - circle, disk) is a luminous ring around a powerful light source. It usually forms around the Sun or the Moon, but it also happens to appear around street lights.
