An important innovation for those obtaining or exchanging a passport or driving license, writes the "Economic Newspaper".

Now, the list of documents that a citizen of Belarus, who has reached the age of 14, must submit to the Department for Citizenship and Migration (DCM) to obtain a passport, has been supplemented with a certificate from the military enlistment office or state security agency regarding their attitude to military service.

Such a certificate will be required from all men aged 18 to 27 (with the exception of those who have arranged permanent residency outside Belarus and/or are on permanent consular registration).

It will be issued by the military enlistment office (its separate unit) or a state security agency — depending on where the conscript is registered.

The certificate is issued free of charge within one working day and will be valid for 6 months. To obtain it, you must present a military ID (conscript's certificate) or another military registration document, and in their absence — an identity document, such as a passport.
