In Minneapolis, US immigration officers again killed a person during detention
According to Associated Press , in Minneapolis, US immigration officers (ICE) first knocked a man to the ground, hitting him several times, and then opened fire on him.

Reportedly, eyewitnesses heard at least five shots. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died, the city's police chief said.
Officers claim the detained person was armed and resisted, but the exact circumstances of the detention are still being investigated, CNN reports.
This incident occurred less than three weeks after another high-profile case: on January 7, an ICE agent in Minneapolis shot and killed 37-year-old local resident Renée Good during a brutal immigration operation, which sparked widespread protests and broad public outcry.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz called the new shooting "another horrific one" on social media and urged US President Donald Trump to suspend the operation and withdraw "thousands of aggressive, untrained officers" from Minnesota.
The day before, large protests against ICE activity took place in Minneapolis. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets, despite severe frosts, to oppose immigration control policies.
