The travel agency "Zhаra Travel" boasted on Threads that on January 26, for the first time in its history, it managed to sell a tour costing 22,728 dollars.

"Yesterday, we booked the most expensive tour in our history. Japan with departure from Minsk for $22,728 for 10 days. All that's left is to wait for visa confirmation and wish them a good holiday," the travel agency wrote on its page.

As can be seen from the attached screenshot, the clients have already made an advance payment of 7,759 dollars, or the equivalent of 22,578 Belarusian rubles.

From further explanations in the comments, it turned out that this is a tour for two people, and "everything is VIP" in it. The agency did not specify what exactly that includes.

"2 people, business class flights, VIP hotels, 10 days," was the laconic answer to the relevant question.

There is also no certainty about the intermediate points for the flight — whether it's through Dubai or Beijing.

People in the comments were happy for the travelers, although, as many joked, "not wholeheartedly."

The prices, however, seemed "outrageously strange."

One user noted that "Antarctica is cheaper," with which the agency agreed.

Others shared their own experiences, where trips to distant countries cost much less:

"My boyfriend and I flew [to Japan] for a month and spent $2900 on accommodation and tickets";

"To Kenya for a safari — that's how much the flight, hotels, and park entrance cost, excluding food — for a family of 2+2. You have something to aspire to."
