New batch of Russian fighter jets arrives in Belarus
The Ministry of Defense reported that another batch of multi-role Su-30SM2 fighter jets has arrived in Belarus.
The Su-30SM2 is an updated Russian 4++ generation multi-role fighter, developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau based on the Su-30SM. The aircraft received new engines, a modernized radar station, and an expanded set of weaponry.
The first pair of Su-30SM2 appeared in Belarus in May 2025. Two more aircraft arrived in August, and the next two in December of the same year.
