"Kubrakov - Well Done!". Lukashenka Praised Police Actions During Attack in Smalyavichy District
Alexander Lukashenka praised the promptness of police actions in responding to an armed attack in Smalyavichy district. He stated this at an event in the government, BelTA reports.
"I looked at Minister Kubrakov. Well done! What happened, happened. But within a few minutes, even before the ambulance (arrived). The minister was there and sorted out on the spot who was to blame for what. This is how it should be if we want to consider ourselves a people's state," he stated.
On February 16, around 4:00 AM, three armed foreigners, aged 17-18, broke into a private house in the agro-town of Budagava, smashing a window. Using physical force, a bat, and pistols, they inflicted multiple injuries on the 63-year-old owner, his 65-year-old wife, and his 67-year-old brother. An alarm button from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Security Department was installed in the house. The homeowner managed to press it before the intruders broke the window.
