Iranian authorities initiated no less than 23,000 criminal cases against protesters

A judiciary representative reported that arrests took place in all provinces of the country, confirming the nationwide nature of the protests.

He also stated that during the protests, attacks were recorded on 749 police stations and 120 centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, writes Radio Farda.

The human rights organization HRANA claims that the number of arrests is higher, exceeding 53,000, and the number of summonses issued to court is 11,000. Mass arrests are occurring amidst a new internet blockade in the country.

Protests in Iran have been finally suppressed.
