"The script brings tears to your eyes." A series about the police will be filmed in Belarus
Viewers are promised to be shown "issues that arose in the families of law enforcement officers" against the backdrop of the brutal suppression of protests in 2020.
Belarus is preparing to film a large-scale propaganda series, which is intended to be a gift for the 110th anniversary of the police. Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov announced 24 episodes, Sputnik reports.
"We made a proposal, I hope we succeed, because the volume of work is very large. Filming of a feature film dedicated to the Belarusian police begins this year, 24 episodes for 3 seasons. The film will be called "Officer's Word". It will be dedicated to the dynasties of Belarusian policemen, starting from 1941 up to 2020," Kubrakov said.
According to him, work is currently underway on the script; the series will show the lives of policemen and their families. According to Kubrakov, the script for four episodes is already ready and it turns out to be "lifelike".
The multi-episode film is intended to cover a long period, starting from 1941. Among other things, the series will also show the year 2020 and the issues that "arose in the families of law enforcement officers against the backdrop of them performing their official duty."
Kubrakov added that the series should be interesting, and the script "brings tears to your eyes."
The premiere is scheduled for March 4, 2027 — on the day of the 110th anniversary of the police.
