Time and place of farewell to historian Heorhi Halenchanka announced
It has become known that the farewell ceremony for the renowned historian Heorhi Halenchanka, who passed away on March 9 at the age of 89, will take place on March 12 (Thursday) at 2 PM in the Ritual Hall on Kulman Street, 33A in Minsk.

Heorhi Halenchanka was a historian with a worldwide reputation, respected among the entire book studies community.
It was Halenchanka who restored Skaryna's true name: he found a document showing that "Georgius" was not the printer's second name, but an unfortunate error made by a scribe in a copy of the document: instead of "outstanding" — "egregius" — Francysk Skaryna became "georgius".
