Such colossal benefits are derived from reduced prices.
Benefit of Belarus from the low-cost supplies of Russian oil and gas exceeds $5 billion a year. “If there had been no agreement, then the price of gas would be $335-340 on average (per thousand cubic meters). Today, you know, we pay $165.6. Given the fact that we’ll get almost 22.7 billion cubic meters this year, so the difference is going to make up $2.6-2.7 billion,” said first Vice Premier Uladzimir Siamashka.
According to him, “the figure is roughly the same with regard to oil if we’d paid the duty,” reports RIA "Novosti."
“On the eve of this year, we reviewed a number of conditions on the pricing formula of oil supplies from Russia to Belarus, which gave a positive effect of $0.6-0.7 billion,” said Mr. Siamashka.
