BPF Party: Putin Brings Dictate to Neighbours

11.06.2012 / 16:43

The latest political events in Russia can’t but worry.

Russia contributes to dictatorship and abuse of individual rights of its citizens, as well those in all neighboring countries. This was stated by Chairman of the BPF party Aliaksiej Janukievich, commenting on recent events in Russia.

“Political developments in Russia very clearly indicate that newly elected Putin plans to stay the Russian leader for a long time, as well as to ensure his ruling not by the people's support, but namely by force,” he said.

“I think it is only the first step, while even more stringent measures are still ahead. It may be both changes in legislation and the use of existing security practices — the actions of the Russian authorities. For me, all this once again testifies to the fact that all the hopes and all the talk about Russia's example of democratization are absolutely wrong.”

According to the BPF chairman, Russia manifests itself the rule of force, abuse of individual rights and restriction of freedom. All this is, surely, very disturbing in the context of deeper integration between Belarus and Russia.
