200-Year-Old Maps of Grand Duchy of Lithuania Sold on Ebay
Now, one have a unique opportunity to buy three sheets from the Atlas of the Five Parts of The World.
Three original maps of the regions of the Great Duchy of Lithuania issued by Franz Johann Josef von Reilly are now for sale at ebay.
The maps are taken from the famous Austrian Atlas of the Five Parts of The World (Schauplatz der fünf Theile der Welt) which contained around 830 maps.
The coloured copper-plate engravings depict the Navahradak region (map 47), Polack region (48) and Brest and Navahradak region (map 50).
The initial bit for every map is 105 Euros.
Franz Johann Josef von Reilly (1766–1820) was an Austrian publisher, writer and cartographer.
He is well known for publishing detailed atlases. His General Post Atlas of the World became the first atlas of such kind.
