Ant Crossings Erected in Belarus
Unusual objects were installed near the Liepiel lake in Belarus: local ecologists have created special tunnel crossings for ants there.
The crossings were erected on a eco-route near a boarding house popular among tourists both from Belarus and Russia.
Three wooden bridges allowing ants to pass beneath are aimed at protecting ants from people.
However, ants ignore the bridge now. People do the same not completely aware about the purpose of these constructions. However, the ecologists are sure the crossings will be used in spring during mass migration of ant colonies.
