The man was warned about life-fire training, but he ignored any precautions.

A man was killed by shell fragments on August 11 when he was gathering mushrooms near a firing range of Belarus’ Border Security Institute near Smarhon, Hrodna region, during target practice.

The body of the 60-year-old resident of Smarhon, Belarus, was found Wednesday in a forest near the range after his wife had reported him missing to the Smarhon district police department.

Range guards warned the man against entering the area, but he ignored the warning, Mr. Sharshanevich said.
