Stanislau Jalienski, who observed the parliamentary elections at polling station No. 27 in Homiel, told on Monday that he would file a Guinness World Record application over the pace of voting at home in his precinct.

Within 90 minutes, members of the precinct election commission managed to visit 385 voters at home, or one person every 15 seconds, Mr. Jalienski told said. “These people were real fast on their feet considering that they needed time to travel, climb the staircase and so on,” he said.

Mr. Jalienski produced a copy of the precinct election commission's vote count report. “The report was signed by rank-and-file members of the commission but not but its chairperson and deputy chairperson,” he said. “These people had the common sense not to sign an arrest warrant on a charge of ballot-rigging.”

The polling station No. 27 is located in Homiel State Technical University's dormitory. Its election commission consisted of the university's faculty members.
