The Hydra: “Slightly Modified” Lenin in Bucharest
Almost every Belarusian city still has a memorial of Lenin. However, not all former socialist states are happy with such “heritage”. Some simply take them down, but some choose a more creative way out.
Bucharest, Romania, goes to the latter with their “slightly modified” Lenin. The sculpture by Costin Ionita is now called “The Hydra” and makes see Vladimir Lenin at a different angle.
