Belarusians Rush to Buy Vodka Before 51% Price Increase
Today, on October 25, the bottom prices on alcohol with strength of 28% alcohol by volume and more increased significantly.
Thus, the bottom price (without VAT) on Belarusian 40% ABV alcohol beverages increases by 51.4 per cent (up to Br21,500). The bottom retail price (VAT included) increased by 51 per cent (up to Br29,600)
But the day before the price increase, Belarusians rushed to buy vodka.
