Purchasing Powers of Belarus, Kosovo, Moldova Lowest in Europe

Belarus, Kosovo and Moldova have Europe's lowest purchasing powers, suggested a study by German market research institute GfK.

The study looked at purchasing power in 42 European countries.

Liechtenstein ranked first with an average purchasing power of €57,000 per capita, followed by Norway and Switzerland with around €32,000 each.

Belarus found itself at the lower end of the scale, sharing the next to last rank with Kosovo. Both were found to have an average purchasing power of €2,000 per capita. Moldova was in the bottom of the ranking with a purchasing power of €1,257 per capita.

Europe's average purchasing power was estimated at €12,802.
