Police Test: Ambulance Passes by “Injured” Dummy Cyclist
Baranavichy road police on October 31 staged an experiment checking the drivers’ concern.
The police officers put a dummy fallen cyclist on the side of the Baranavichy–Hrodna highway, Intex-press says.
The dummy was well visible: the experiment was held in daylight.
On October 4, the local police department already experimented the similar way, however, with a dummy pedestrian.
Then, the results could not be called “satisfactory”: 80 per cent of drivers did not pay any attention to the person.
But this time drivers were more careful: some pulled over and even called an emergency.
The real surprise for the police was that an ambulance passed the dummy by without stopping.
The car was going without blinking beacon light, what means it was unlikely it was summoned.
