"These postcards are not just pictures. These are messages to those who stand in defense of our Motherland, preserved live emotions and the incredible, powerful eyes of each fighter. It's sad to realize that most of them never received their portraits," — states the press release of the "Russian House in Brest".

It is noted that "the images feature special operations forces fighters, whose faces are mostly hidden."

The event was organized by the associations "Russian Society" and "Russian House in Brest". Irina Kharkovskaya is a member of the RGA "Russian Society". In Brest, the society's branch is headed by Svetlana Smirnova.

For the grand opening, a violin ensemble from the gymnasium, participants of the "Factor BY" project, and the "Orion" club of the Russian Society were brought. Also present were Roman Titov, Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Brest, and Sofia Pyakshava, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo branch in Brest and Vice-Consul.

Visitors were supposed to join in creating a canvas from ribbons in the colors of the Russian tricolor.
