The company donated $30,000, what was the rest of the sum.
The overall cost of the folio was listed $45,000.
10% deposit was donated by an anonymous businessman. Fundraising campaign managed to raise ca. $9500.
And finally 100,000 (ca. $3,200) Russian rubles were donated by a Belarusian-born businessman Paval Bierahovich, one of the largest sponsors of Belarusian culture.
As it was reported previously, Belarus received an unique opportunity to return one of its main historical artifacts: the Statute of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
There are around 60 copies of the Statute — one of the first Europe’s and world’s constitutions — remained in the world. One of them is kept in the UK, 11 in Russia, Lithuania and Poland have six copies each, but Belarus does not possess any of them.
