"I call France, Macron, whose wife treats him terribly. He is still trying to recover after a punch to the jaw," Reuters and Le Monde quoted the American president as saying.

The discussion was about a video from Vietnam in 2025, which Macron later called part of a disinformation campaign.
Then, while descending the ramp, the camera captured an unexpected moment between Emmanuel Macron and his wife. Brigitte Macron sharply touched the face of French President Emmanuel Macron aboard a plane that landed at Hanoi airport on May 25.
The First Lady's gesture, which sparked various interpretations, instantly spread on social media and became an object of speculation.
A recording of Trump's words briefly appeared on the White House YouTube channel, after which access to it was closed.
Trump then linked the mockery of Macron to his grievances with alliance allies, writes Bild.
According to Reuters and AP, he again called NATO a "paper tiger" and stated that he is seriously considering the US withdrawal from the alliance after European countries refused to support the American campaign against Iran. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also said that after the war, Washington would have to reconsider its stance on NATO.
These statements have already caused alarm in Europe. AP reports that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is going to Washington to try to reduce tensions with the US.
