Another attempt by authorities to replace Tut.by? A new information portal has appeared in Belarus

The new portal is called Times.by, and its editor-in-chief is the editor-in-chief of BelTA. What is known about the website, writes BAJ.

«A multimedia internet resource that writes about the most important and interesting things in Belarus and the world» — this is how Times.by positions itself.

The reader is offered sections such as «Politics», «Economy», «Technologies», «Society», «Lifestyle», and «Special Projects». As for politics, it mainly features news from official state chronicles.

The portal does not have a Belarusian version. The resource does not appear aggressively propagandistic, although it adheres to the general narratives of state media. Sharp social and public stories are not observed.

A team of six journalists writes about the weather, sports and music stars, road accidents, astro forecasts, technology, ways to spend long holidays, etc.

One of the journalists is the former deputy editor of "Minsk-Novosti" Victoria Al Ali.

The publication itself appeared in September 2025. CJSC "Times Media Group" — the founder of the portal — was registered on July 8, 2025.

Elena Krutalevich is listed as the editor-in-chief of the new resource. She is also the editor-in-chief of the state news agency BelTA.

The director of CJSC "Times Media Group" is Alexander Martinkevich, former deputy director of the Hi-Tech Park. The management of HTP completely changed in May 2025.

«There is information that BelTA is participating in the implementation of this media project,» a person familiar with the situation told the BAJ information service.

According to BAJ, Tochka.by is also involved in the new project.

Tochka.by was registered in September 2022. It was the first officially registered information resource in the country since 2020.

All rights to the media belong to CJSC "Kropka Digital Group". The director is Igor Ruban. He graduated from the Minsk Higher Engineering Anti-Aircraft Missile College of Air Defense, and in 2014, the Academy of Management. He worked at BelTA, was a press secretary at the Belarusian Association of International Road Carriers, held the position of deputy director for commercial affairs at the IT product company "Beltransspdaorozhnik", and edited "Vestnik Belneftekhima".

The former press secretary of the Sputnik Belarus agency, Pavel Tukhto, became the editor-in-chief of the publication. Previously, he headed the representative office of the National State Television and Radio Company of Belarus in Moscow.
