3,738 citizens of Belarus have obtained residence permits (RP) in Georgia. This was stated by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a speech in the country's parliament, as reported by Pozirk.

Russia is in first place (32,129 people, the majority of whom are former citizens of Georgia or individuals with Georgian surnames), followed by: India (23,900, mainly students), Azerbaijan (about 6,700), Ukraine (6,290), and Armenia (about 5,000).
Georgia has become one of the main countries where Belarusians have emigrated, fleeing repression in their homeland after the failed mass protests against the falsification of the results of the 2020 presidential elections.
According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, as of January 1, 2025, 12,808 immigrants with Belarusian citizenship resided in the country.
At the same time, Belarus is among the 96 countries whose citizens can continuously stay in the country for a year without obtaining a residence permit.
