The VAR system will be implemented in matches of the Belarusian Championship in the new season. This was announced by Yauhen Buloychyk, chairman of the Belarusian Football Federation, football.by reports.

VAR (Video Assistant Referee) is a video assistance system for referees in football, which uses video recordings and a special team to check key moments.
It is primarily applied in three situations: reviewing goals (to check for offside), penalty decisions, and direct red cards.
The Belarusian Premier League championship starts on March 20-22.
The following teams will play in the first round:
- Neman — BATE
- Vitebsk — Gomel
- Minsk — Arsenal
- Naftan — Dnepr
- Slavia — Dinamo Minsk
- Belshina — Dinamo Brest
- Torpedo-BelAZ — ML Vitebsk
- Isloch — Baranovichi
