Political prisoner Tsikhan Osipau faces a third attempt to extend his sentence
A new criminal case has been initiated against Tsikhan Osipau for allegedly malicious disobedience to the colony administration. This was reported by former political prisoner Antonina Kanavalava.

Tsikhan was detained on August 11, 2020, during a protest near the Pushkinskaya metro station. The investigation claimed he ran over five internal troops servicemen with his car. The court sentenced him to 11 years in prison.
It is reported that Osipau spent more than 200 days in a punishment isolation cell. In the summer of 2024, he was placed in a cell-type facility for six months, and then again sent to a punishment isolation cell for two months. He receives neither letters nor parcels.
According to Kanavalava, Tsikhan's health condition is a serious concern. He has problems digesting food, eye pain, frequent heart palpitations, blood pressure fluctuations, and a weakened immune system. Every day spent in such conditions can worsen his condition and lead to irreversible consequences.
