In Astravets district, a school lesson for Mother Language Day was conducted by a priest
In Varyniany secondary school of Astravets district, on February 21, International Mother Language Day, many events were held for students of all grades, from junior to senior. Among the participants was the parish priest of the Catholic parish in Varyniany, Father Viktar Zakharouski. He was invited as a guest for the quest «Keys to the Heart of Language» for 10‑11th grade students, writes Katolik.life.

The priest told the schoolchildren that the Belarusian language is not only sounds and letters, but also a path to God if you pronounce them with love.

That one short «trymaysia» (hold on/keep strong), said in Belarusian, can become a real prayer for someone nearby.

That a word born in the heart can comfort more powerfully than long speeches.

«May your words always bring light,» wished the priest.
