Heads of large agricultural enterprises detained in Brest and Grodno regions
Officials received money from a commercial firm for assistance in purchasing feed additives and organizing regular meat supplies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the investigation, the 46-year-old head of a branch of one of the largest enterprises in the agro-industrial complex of the Grodno region received a bribe in an especially large amount from a representative of a commercial entity.
The money served as a "thank you" for organizing the purchase of feed additives and uninterrupted shipment of pork meat.
The investigation established facts of cash transfers by representatives of the same firm to officials of three agricultural organizations in the Brest region.
The total documented amount of bribes exceeded 80 thousand rubles in equivalent.
Criminal cases have been initiated. The defendants face up to 15 years in prison.
