Teenager in Grodno sustained serious injuries after performing a somersault at a party
The unfortunate incident happened on Saturday evening.
Teenagers gathered at a friend's apartment, where they organized a party with alcohol, according to the regional police.
Wishing to impress those present, a 16-year-old boy decided to perform a somersault. He climbed onto a table, but while attempting the stunt, he fell and hit his head on the floor.
Friends took the injured boy home, not immediately realizing the seriousness of the situation. The minor's parents sought medical help. He was hospitalized in intensive care with an open craniocerebral injury, brain contusion and hemorrhage, and fractures of the skull, nose, and jaw.
