A part of the BNR Rada archive, which was considered possibly lost, has been transferred to the Skaryna Library in London
The Secretary of the Rada of the Belarusian Democratic Republic and the Board of Trustees of the Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum in London announced the transfer to the library of part of the BNR state archive, which was kept by the Chairman of the BNR Rada, Mikoła Abramčyk.

After the death of Mikoła Abramčyk in 1970, by decision of the BNR Rada, the Rada's documents from his archive were to be transferred for preservation and research to the Francis Skaryna Library; however, until 2025, they remained outside the possession of the BNR Rada.
Now, after the restoration of the BNR Rada's ownership over these documents, it has been decided that the BNR Rada will transfer Mikoła Abramčyk's archive for preservation and use to the Skaryna Belarusian Library until such time as the historical mandate of the BNR Rada is drawn up in accordance with the Statute of the BNR Rada and a joint decision is made regarding the further legal fate of the archive.

After a preliminary inventory of the archive, it will soon become available to researchers.
