"If you had managed to fight them off then, our nations would be together in the EU today." Lithuanian MEP congratulated Belarusians in Belarusian
Rasa Juknevičienė, a Member of the European Parliament from Lithuania, who served as Minister of Defense of that country from 2008-2012, congratulated Belarusians on Freedom Day on her Facebook page, writing her post in Belarusian.

Rasa Juknevičienė illustrated her post with this image, for which she was immediately attacked in the comments by fighters against the so-called "Litvinism"
"My dear Belarusians!
I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the Day of your independent statehood.
You decided to restore your state just over a month after our February 16th.
If you had managed to fight off the Bolsheviks then, our nations would most likely be together in the European Union today. However, I believe that sooner or later this will happen.
Your nation showed in 2020 that the nation is alive. Regimes will fall, Europe will continue to unite, and your efforts to return to the European map as a democratic state will not be in vain.
You have many friends in Europe and in my country, Lithuania.
Long live Belarus!", — wrote Rasa Juknevičienė.
