Lithuania makes concessions: will allow entry with Belarusian license plates if the owner is driving and has a residence permit or visa for Lithuania
Official Vilnius has made concessions regarding restrictions concerning the ban on entry of passenger cars with Belarusian registration plates.

From August 17, 2024, entry of passenger cars with Belarusian license plates will be permitted if the following requirements are met:
— the car belongs to a citizen of Belarus who has a Lithuanian visa or a residence permit in Lithuania;
— the owner of the car is behind the wheel;
— the car is not intended for sale and is used for personal purposes.
Lithuania will not allow vehicles owned by legal entities or used for commercial purposes to enter.
At the same time, the rule remains that after January 18, 2025, cars with Belarusian license plates will not be able to be in Lithuania.
