Elena Gomorova, Head of the Main Department of Pension Provision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, spoke on the program "Belarusian Vremechko" about whether heirs can claim a person's pension money after their untimely death.

According to the official, such a possibility indeed exists — we are talking about an accumulative pension with state financial support.
If a participant in this program has not yet reached the generally established retirement age and dies, then the insurance contributions paid for them are inherited.
However, if a person has already reached retirement age and was receiving an additional accumulative pension, then the accumulated portion of these payments is transferred to the heirs.
