Belarusian woman hunts for traditional hand-woven bedspreads across the country — see how many exhibits she has already bought from grandmothers PHOTOS
Belarusian Yauhenia shared her luxurious collection of 18 Belarusian bedspreads.

The main hunting ground for bedspreads for Yauhenia is "Kufar". Interestingly, sometimes the girl was lucky enough to get a bedspread absolutely for free. Some of the pieces were even found at her parents' home — the bedspreads were inherited by them from the older generation.

Bedspreads bought by Yauhenia
The most expensive exhibit in the collection cost the girl 150 rubles. The vibrant bedspread with intricate patterns from Loyew district truly deserves high praise.

Quite cheaply — for 40 rubles — Yauhenia was able to acquire two bedspreads: a yellow-brown one, authored by Tamara Shybayla from near Machulina (Vawkavysk district, Hrodna region), and a black one with blue patterns, also of Hrodna origin.

Yauhenia does not rule out opening a museum in the future if her collection grows even larger.

Бабуля, суседка маёй бабулі як памерла, я запытаў яе дачку ці не прадала б пару ручнікоў, тая сказала, што за апошнія гады парэзала іх на анучы. Каля дзьвух дзясяткаў ручнікоў!
