52-year-old patron Siarhei Yunchyts is on the list of released individuals
He was involved in supplying goods for dentistry and supported Belarusian culture.
Siarhei was sentenced to five years in a penal colony for transferring money to political prisoners and human rights defenders. He spent more than two years in detention.
The Minsk region prosecutor's office reported that he made money transfers totaling 500 rubles to 24 political prisoners in pre-trial detention centers. He also donated 1300 rubles to human rights defenders and initiatives assisting repressed individuals. These include "Belarusian Council for Culture", Dissidentby, and "Country for Life". The prosecutor's office interpreted assistance to political prisoners as aiding extremist activities (Siarhei was tried under Parts 1 and 2 of Art. 361-2 of the Criminal Code and Parts 1 and 2 of Art. 361-4 of the Criminal Code).
51-year-old Siarhei Yunchyts comes from the small village of Padvostse, Zhytkavichy district. The man has been involved in business since the 90s.
