Minsk Hall Stood Up During Performance of Yanka Kupala's 'Prayer'

This happened at the Vladimir Mulyavin memorial concert on January 12.

Look how the Philharmonic Hall in Minsk stood up in a single impulse during the performance of Yanka Kupala's 'Prayer'.

Yanka Kupala wrote this poem back in 1906. Mulyavin's song is perceived as a prayer for Belarus and Belarusians.

I pray to the sky, the earth, and the expanse,

I pray to the mighty God-of-the-universe,

In every circumstance, at every time

For the native people of Belarus.
