For the festival, the masters of the «Brest Baker» enterprise prepared a two-tier festive pie weighing 115 kg and with a diameter of 3 meters. To bake it, 100 kg of wheat flour, 57 liters of water, 13 kg of sugar, 9 kg of margarine, 6.5 kg of yeast, and 1.2 kg of salt were needed. The Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Pyotr Parkhomchyk, personally added powdered sugar to the pie's decoration.

The dish used 200 kg of meat, 100 kg of potatoes, 30 kg of carrots, 15 kg of onions, 15 kg of tomatoes, 10 kg of bell peppers, 1 kg of chili peppers, 5 kg of dill, and 3 kg of cilantro. The shurpa was cooked for several hours from early morning, and Pyotr Parkhomchyk himself tasted it. Afterwards, anyone interested could taste the dish.
