In Cherven, a Pensioner Died After Falling Into an Open Water Supply Manhole

Her heart failed.

On March 4, around 13:00, a 78-year-old visually impaired woman fell into a manhole near a private house on Komarov Street in Cherven.

Rescuers pulled her out, but she died before the ambulance arrived. The preliminary cause was cardiac arrest.

The metal manhole cover was missing. The manhole's depth was 2.2 meters, and the water level was 1.4 meters.
