First teaser for the new Harry Potter series shown VIDEO

The first season of the series will be called "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and will consist of eight episodes.

The clip shows key scenes from the beginning of the story: Harry's introduction to Ron and Hermione, meeting Hagrid, receiving his magic wand, and being sorted into houses at Hogwarts.

The project based on this story was announced back in 2023. The premiere is scheduled for Christmas 2026 on the HBO Max platform.

Dominic McLaughlin will play the main role of Harry Potter in this series, while his friends — Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger — will be played by Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton.

A large-scale casting was conducted to select actors for the main roles, in which more than 30 thousand children participated.

The creators of the series promised to make it as close as possible to J.K. Rowling's books. Each season will be dedicated to a separate part of the seven-volume story. Among other things, the series planned to include scenes and details that were not in the original films.
