A New Head of the Military Academy Has Been Appointed

On March 27, Alexander Lukashenka signed a decree on the appointment of Major General Dzmitry Strashynski as head of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.

Dzmitry Strashynski

From August 2023 to June 2024, Dzmitry Strashynski served as head of the territorial defense department — deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. In this position, he oversaw issues related to the formation of people's militia and territorial troops.

In June 2024, he was appointed to the position of head of the Main Military Inspectorate of the Armed Forces of Belarus, which he held before his current appointment.
