Police prevented sex trafficking from Belarus.
Two German nationals and one Belarusian student have been charged with attempting to smuggle young women abroad to work as prostitutes.
The Germans met the 19-year-old student of a Minsk-based higher education institution on the Internet, said the press office of the Minsk city police department.
They offered him to recruit young women to work in a brothel in an unnamed country, promising him to pay 1000 euros for every girl, according to the report.
The student found two women.
All the three were arrested “on their way to a foreign brothel” by Belarusian police, said the press office.
The case is being investigated by Minsk’s Partyzanski district office of the Investigative Committee. If found guilty, the German and Belarusian men may be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
