Foreign Exchange Reserves Continue to Melt Down: Minus $129mn in April
Foreign exchange reserves of Belarus are plummeting. However, “other assets” increased by $320.4mn (34.4%).
According to National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, foreign exchange reserves were $7957mn on May 1. The sum is $129mn (1.6%) less than a month before.
There had been a slight growth of the assets during three previous months: by $65mn in January, $35mn in February and $69mn in March.
The reduction of the foreign exchange reserves became vivid in April; the change of the golden reserves is not significant.
However, “other assets” increased by $320.4mn (34.4%).
