Will Putin Visit Kazakhstan, Not Belarus First?

Russian president may visit Astana on May.

What country will Putin pay its first official visit to? It was primarily reported that Belarus to become Mr. Putin’s first destination on May 31. However, there are some talks that he is going to Kazakhstan on May 25. The Kremlin is still silent.

Vladimir Putin may try to please both Lukashenka and Nazarbayev by going to Kazakhstan first, yet paying the official visit to Belarus.

Still, undoubtedly that expansion over the two countries is Moscow’s foreign policy strategic priority.
