Film about a rock musician fighting Belarusian regime was presented in Cannes on May 22.
The film tells the story of a young Belarusian rock musician Miron Zakharka who was forced to enroll the army and his band was blacklisted. In the army, he starts a blog telling about army violence and overall conditions of service. The blog grows into face-to-face struggle with the regime.
As Polish WFDIF studio reports, there are the first results of Viva Belarus film presentation at Cannes Film Festival. A film distributor from Czech Republic became interested in the film.
