Belarus is in talks with some new investor for the construction of the Minsk-City center. May 31, this was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Kalinin. “We're looking for the company and the investor, which will help to construct the object in this attractive area in the center of Minsk. Minsk-City project with its entire infrastructure has been approved head of state,” he said.
According to Mr. Kalinin, the investor must accept the conditions for removal of the aircraft repair plant outside the city in the area of Minsk National Airport. “We are looking for an investor. There is one such investor, but I still wouldn't like to voice his name,” said Anatoli Kalinin, BelTA informs.
He also noted that the new terms for Minsk-City construction will be determined by a new investor.
Previously, Belarus terminated the contract with the company Itera for the construction of the business center Minsk-City and started to look for a new investor for this project. This decision was taken by President Aliaksandr Lukashenka on February 16, when he was reported on the implementation of his orders for this complex construction.
However, Itera noted that “the project is hard to implement in its pre-crisis arrangements now: it's unprofitable from a commercial point of view. It’s impossible to keep the same pace and volume of construction.”
