The investigation is to be launched on July 1.
U.S. Department of Commerce has officially announced about the launch of the second anti-dumping investigation into deliveries of rebar from Belarus on July 1, 2012, as well as from China, Indonesia, Latvia, Poland, Moldova and Ukraine. Also the Commission on International Trade (ITC) will conduct similar investigation in the United States.
Last year, Belarus was among the countries that the U.S. Ministry of Trade accused of violating the anti-dumping legislation. According to the preliminary conclusion of the American authorities, rebar from Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, China, Korea and Indonesia was sold in the United States at cut prices. According to the Board of Coalition on reinforced steel trading, the dumping reached 277%.
