Black List of Arts: Chronicles of Belarusian Underground

Siarhiej Hudzilin, the correspondent for Nasha Niva, has been capturing the life moments of banned art workers since January, 2012.

‘Black list’ 2.0 was made up after the presidential elections of 2010 and encompassed those artists who supported democratic changes and criticized the regime of Lukashenka.

Belarusian independent art experienced the first prohibitions after in 2006, right after the Lukashenka’s third elections.

Black List of Arts is the story of Belarusians artists forced underground against their own will.
