Belarus' FX reserves grew from $8bln to $8.05bln.
According to the preliminary data, the volume of Belarus’s fx reserves totaled $8.05bln as on June 1, 2012. Thus, it increased by $81.1mln by the end of May, reports Telegraf.by. Previously, Belarusian fx reserves totaled $8bln. Thus, the increase of Belarusian fx reserves amounted by 1%.
“The positive balance of hard currency purchase-and-sale by the National Bank on Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange contributed to the increase in the volume of fx reserves in May 2012,” reported the National Bank.
At the same time the Belarusian government and NBB fully complied with internal and external liabilities in foreign currency, stated the BNB.
