Lithuanian president mentioned Belarus in the address to the parliament.
Lithuania is interested in Belarus' independence and will continue its dialogue with Minsk, President Dalia Grybauskaite said addressing the parliament.
“I have always advocated and will advocate the method of dialogue and cooperation with neighbors. However, this doesn't mean that one can treat with tolerance a behavior directed against democratic principles and violating human rights,” said Ms. Grybauskaite.
Ms. Grybauskaite also noted that neighborly relations between two countries depended on active people-to-people contacts and economic cooperation.
She said that Lithuania's foreign policy would be open, transparent and continuous.
