FM Insists on Innocence of Belarusian Prisoners in Libya

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus is concerned about the sentence, passed upon the Belarusian citizens in Libya, and insists on their innocence. This was stated by the Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrej Savinykh on June 7. According to him, currently the embassies of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine are coordinating their further actions on these issues, reports Telegraf.by.

As it was reported before, several Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian citizens were found guilty of cooperation with Muammar Gaddafi regime and sentenced up to life imprisonment.

Russian and Belarusian parties promised to “use all leverages” to release the prisoners.
